Historic Cowell Ranch Hay Barn Dedication
Help us Celebrate the New Cowell Ranch Hay Barn!
You are cordially invited to join the party on September 12 as we open the barn doors and dedicate the newly renovated Cowell Ranch Hay Barn at UC Santa Cruz. Help us celebrate this exciting new chapter on the UC Santa Cruz campus!
The Cowell Ranch Hay Barn will serve as the headquarters for the Center for Agroecology & Sustainable Food Systems (CASFS), the new gateway to the UCSC Farm, and a center for other campus sustainability activities. The Hay Barn Dedication on September 12 marks the completion of Phase I of the renovation effort, with spaces in place for classes, community meetings, workshops, and more. Come enjoy a free campus and community gathering and hear from some of those involved in the project. Celebrate with dancing, pie eating, and festivities.
Saturday, September 12, 7 pm - 9 pm

More on the Cowell Ranch Hay Barn
The original 150-year-old Cowell Ranch Hay Barn captured the attention and imagination of many of us at UCSC over the years, with its proximity to both the Farm and the main entrance to campus. The idea to restore the Hay Barn to be the headquarters for CASFS and other environmental programs has now progressed to a full reconstruction of the barn structure with funding from the Helen and Will Webster Foundation.
